Under the Mistletoe: A Christmas They Didn’t Expect

Christmas Eve – Lingerie, Wine, and Realisation
By Christmas Eve, snow still smothered the world outside. Their closeness had grown naturally: shared meals, lingering touches, glances that promised more.

That night, Ivy poured wine, her fingers brushing July’s as she handed her a glass. July sat cross-legged before the fire, the soft blanket pooling around her, hair falling over her shoulders like pale silk.
Ivy leaned close. “Confession time.”
July’s eyebrow lifted. “Oh?”
“I brought lingerie… for my ex. Red. Festive. Slightly… regretful.”
July blinked, lips twitching. “You too?”
Ivy choked, heat rising. “You bought lingerie for yours?”
“Black. Lace. Elegant… She never saw it,” July admitted, biting her lip.

They laughed nervously. Then Ivy’s eyes sparkled. “Want to… compare? Just practical,” she teased.
“Practical demonstration?” July whispered.
“Yes,” Ivy purred.

They returned moments later in robes. July let hers fall just enough to reveal delicate black lace clinging to toned skin, straps tracing her curves. Ivy’s breath hitched, her body responding instantly.
“Oh… wow,” Ivy murmured. “Your ex… a complete fool.”

Blushing, July gestured for Ivy’s turn. Ivy’s robe slipped, revealing red satin trimmed with gold, playful bows teasing her hips. July’s lips parted, desire flickering in her eyes.
“Festive?” Ivy asked, voice trembling.
“Stunning,” July murmured, voice low, rough with need.

They laughed softly, nerves and want tangled together. Neither closed their robes. Fingers brushed, wandering lower, exploring curves beneath thin fabric. Firelight flickered over their exposed skin. The world shrank to heat, silk, lace, and urgent desire.

July’s voice was a whisper. “Merry Christmas, Ivy…”
Ivy’s breath came fast, lips near July’s ear. “Merry Christmas… July.”

They pressed together, bodies close enough to feel each pulse, fingers tracing skin, lips almost meeting, the cabin filled with the scent of fire, wine, and something far hotter than snow. Christmas Eve had given them each other—and it was only the beginning.
